Are you a proper Journalist?

I am currently a student who is working towards a career in Journalism. This website acts as my portfolio and also a place to share any updates and achievements.

Who do you work for?

I don’t currently work for anyone. I am a student working on freelance articles.

What areas do you specialise in?

Currently I am working on local stories and plan to launch my third year project with this theme. I also speak about national and international stories on my TikTok and Youtube where I practise my broadcast journalism techniques.

What are your plans after Uni?

I am hoping to enrol on some kind of Journalism apprenticeship or course. The graduate apprenticeship from the BBC is something I am interested in, I will also look at others to eep my options open.

What areas of Journalism interest you the most?

I am currently writing a lot of articles which has been a good start for me to write stories at a quicker pace. I am also loving the video journalism side of things which I practise on TikTok speaking about national stories rather than my own sourced local ones which I am currently doing where I write the article.

Do you want to work with more video?

Yes! I will start working on more videos to go with my articles and more frequent TikTok uploads.

Is all of the content yours?

Mostly, yes! All content is mine unless stated otherwise in the image caption. Any content seen on my Press Photos or Project pages are mine, it is just my articles that differ - especially if I am reporting on a national story and can’t access it for my own images. All images/visuals that aren’t mine will be credited accordingly.
